Hello! I’m Juan, a gamer, computer engineer, craftsman, and the creator of unique, handcrafted wooden arcade sticks. Hailing from the beautiful Philippines, my story is a blend of curiosity, passion, and the drive to create.
From an early age, I’ve been fascinated by the intricate workings of technology. The family computer was my first playground, disassembling it to uncover how it worked. This curiosity led me down the path of becoming a computer engineer, fixing computers, and diving deep into the world of IT.
The journey to building custom arcade sticks began during the pandemic when I aimed to create an at-home arcade for my 6-year-old daughter. What started as a project to keep her entertained during lockdowns turned into an enjoyable pastime for both of us.
With a few tools and a newfound love for woodworking, I ventured into creating furniture—from office tables to bookshelves.
The satisfaction of crafting something with my own hands was immense. Coupling this with my computer skills, electronics knowledge, and gaming passion, the idea of customized wooden arcade sticks was born.
JUANminiDIY is a fusion of my identity, Juan, and the playful spirit of my children who are my ‘minis’. This brand embodies our shared love for DIY.
Today, I’m blessed with two wonderful ‘minis’ – my 10-year-old daughter, who first inspired this journey, and my one-year-old son, the latest addition to our creative crew.
When I posted my first self-made arcade stick on Facebook, the response was incredible. One inquiry turned into another, and before I knew it, I was crafting these unique pieces for gamers around the globe.
Today, I’ve proudly crafted over 300 custom arcade sticks, each reflecting the personality of its owner.
It’s not just about making a product—it’s about the joy it brings to the customers. Their positive reviews and appreciative feedback are what keeps me going, even on tiring days.
I am grateful for this talent and the opportunity to share my creations with fellow gaming enthusiasts.
